My friend's son. -
December 17th 2010, 11:15 AM
He will be two on Christmas eve and he is really clever. It kind of scares us. I remember he wasn't even one, I was looking after him for the day and he started crying and said "Mammy" I said "mammy won't be long" he then said "and daddy"
He can recognize logos. If he sees the BBC2 logo he can say "BBC 2" if he sees the Argos label he says "Argos" and it's the same with "lazy town". A few days ago as a test I wrote down "lazy town" and asked him what it said, he said "lazy town" :| It wasn't even written in the same way, so he must recognize letters. I can almost have a conversation with him. Is he very advanced for his age? or is this quite normal for a two year old. ![]() |

He sounds bright, alot of children seem to excell in one thing or another and they all usually catch up to "even grounds" when they hit around 4/5 years old and start kindergarten. If he's read to alot then he can most likely see letters/words and pick up on them which is great

Sound pretty normal to me too. You have to realize that he see's the logos ALOT. He's obviously being exposed to language, which is great.

This sounds pretty normal to me too. My nephew began speaking very early, and I dont mean baby talk, I mean proper words and his sentences. He just never stops but that would be cos his mum (my sister) never stops talking either lol. He's only 5, but cos of his speech, people do have a tendency to talk to him like he's a lot older!

seems normal to me. he just seems to be very observant and retain info well.
