Preggie pops - July 16th 2011, 05:22 PM

Well my morning sickness has been awful so I bought those preggy pop suckers. I do have a few questions for any one who has taken them? DO they have anything in them differen than like a lemon drop? how well do these things really work and for how long? Basically I want the 411 on these things or even some morning sickness suggestions because nothing seems to help not even what the hospital gave me.

They are ginger candies. I couldn't stomach the taste of them. I bought some last pregnancy but then threw them away before this pregnancy. I have heard good things about Sea Bands. Then of course there is ginger ale, dry toast, crackers, anything really with ginger in it, sleep, and there have been some studies that link morning sickness as a nutrition issue (I know, laughable isn't it? "Horrible morning sickness to the point you can't eat anything? Probably means you aren't eating right"....yeah no shit I got that. lol)

I hope it passes quickly for you! I have noticed a pattern to mine, its much worse at night

Sea Bands work wonders.
I was horribly sick throughout most of my pregnancy, and when I had the sea bands on, I was great.

They are fairly cheap too, which is nice.

My mum used to have ginger tea with ginger biscuits first thing every day

My mum used to have normal lollypops tbh.

It's a matter of personal preference and what works for you.

peppermint tea is very calming for the stomach also and it tastes great

^Love the irony of that :')

Anyway, my mum said that ginger nut biscuits helped her loads, but she doesn't like them anymore because they remind her of throwing up :/

Hope everything goes smoothly! <3

One of my church friends says the smell of bleach makes her feel less sick... She begs her husband to let her do the laundry now. xD
