I went to the doctors today. I guess I have an emregancy visit to the high risk doctor. My baby may not be saveable. They are not sure if the brain is forming or it is even forming a brain. I heard it's heart beat last week, and saw it move, I know that can happen and still be lost cause. But why me?

I hope they're wrong as well. I just need someone to talk to someone to lean on right now. My husband's not much help since he's all worried as well. I didn't know something like this could actually happen

Get second, third and even fourth opinions before you do anything! It is so early, the margin of error can be so high. I am praying that they were wrong.

Hi, I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through.

Like the others have said, it's so early that the doctors may be wrong, so you should definitely get more opinions.

Another thing - I know it's hard, but try to stay calm and not stress too much, as it is thought that raised levels of the hormone corsitol (which is released when stressed) could be related to miscarriage.

I really hope everything turns out okay <3

Make sure you talk to multiple doctors, get multiple scans done. Don't take no for an answer, find out if there is in fact a real problem, or if the baby is just too little right now to see everything.

I am sorry you had to hear such terrible news - I really have no advice what so ever, and I know the situation is different, but a few months ago, I had a miscarriage at 4 months pregnant, it is the worse feeling ever, but all I can say is, it does get better, things do look up, just don't bottle everything up, you and your husband need to stay strong and stay talking at a time like this.
Other than that - I agree with the above posts, get second opinions.
And remember, everything happens for a reason, whether the reason is obvious or not.

They won't let me get another opinion. The ultrasound is obvious. It's survival rate is almost 0% when it's born. I saw my own 13 week fetus in pain when it was proded with the ultrasound. It's brain was basically on display for all to see. I don't have a picture my ultrasound yet. This is almost exact to what mine looked like. For those of you that do not know what you are looking at, you see the white on the ultrasound, those are bones as where the brain is, there is no white, meaning it's lacking a bone. I was explained what will happen is the brain will bounce off of the utruine wall and eventually rub away and there's going to be no brain when the baby is born. I heard we can go full term but the baby would eventually die in a few hours or days (if it's still alive) by respitroy failure. I was at the high risk doctors the doctors who know what they are doing. Anyways. Thanks everyone for the support.

I think I would do the same thing if I were in your position. I'm not sure you can have complications, everything I've read, you have a normal pregnancy.

Awww I'm soo sorry to hear that ummm I had a friend. Who went to the doctors and the doctors told her her baby had heart problems she was sooo worried, the doctors tried to make her do a lot of things but she said no she just had faith in the end the baby turned out. Normal I think just have faith the doctors are sometimes wrong. Monitar the baby see wat u could do. Talk to someone you trust and u no will be there for you, I here if you need to talk I'll be here

Alena, the ultrasound was very clear and they could definitely see there was mostly no skull on the baby. So, unfortunately there is really no chance it could be a mistake
