Non-PG13: This baby wouldn't even have a chance..would it?

Alright so, I don't know yet if I am actually pregnant. I've bought a pregnancy test and have to wait a few more days to use it. The only reason I even bought one was because the guy I've been seeing for the past few months is worried and has been since the beginning.
He told my best friend he would pay for an abortion..I told him I would probably keep it. So he's already started saving money up just in case.
The thing is, when it happened I didn't even think about actually being pregnant. So I just went around doing my usual shit.
The thing is, I smoke weed everyday. And smoke. And when my best friend came down we did shrooms.
If I'm actually pregnant my child is probably going to be either dead, or brain dead. Or at least that's what I think..and that makes me want to have an abortion. I want my baby to be healthy and happy..
Can anyone help me out? If I am pregnant have I scarred my child by doing all this shit? Would it even be possible for a baby to live through all that..healthily or close to it?
I'm starting to think about this more and more..and I think I just need some advice. Thanks

I'm not sure about the chances of your baby making it. But I am sure that you should stop doing these dangerous things for the well-being of the baby and yourself. Anything is possible. If you stop now, you could save your child's life. Whatever you decide to do, abortion, parenting, adoption.. I wish you luck and if you ever want to talk, PM me.

IF you are pregnant, your child could still, in fact, live a normal life. Until you know for sure, stop the drugs, take prenatal vitamins, and eat healthy.
IF you are pregnant, make an appointment with your doctor ASAP.

Drugs in early pregnancy heighten the risk of miscarriage. But being so early, your baby could easily recover and live a normal, healthy life if carried to full term.

As for the abortion/parenting thing, that's up to you. I do highly suggest that if you are, to spend a lot of time thinking about all three options and all of their consequences before making a final decision. You have plenty of time to choose, so make sure it's the best one for YOU.

Your doctor can help you determine that. The ultrasound can help determine if it's growing correctly.

There is still a very good chance your baby will be healthy. Don't get an abortion because you are afraid of what they may turn out like.

There are women who drank while pregnant until about 8 or 9 weeks and the baby came out healthy. Usually the most important and susceptible time for the baby's development is after 9-12 weeks.

Either way, stop the shrooms and alcohol and start taking care of yourself and the baby.

If you suspect that you may be pregnant, it is a good idea to quit smoking and using other substances as a precaution. Take the pregnancy test when the time comes and from there take things one step at a time. If you are pregnant, you should make arrangements with your doctor or a midwife to schedule your first prenatal exam. This is where you can tell them that you have been smoking and using shrooms. Now I'm quite unfamiliar of the effect of shrooms on pregnancy and the results found on the Internet seem to come up inconclusive, so you may be best off consulting a doctor and monitoring your pregnancy closely. Your baby, if you are pregnant, may turn out just healthy. You need to take things one step at a time and stay a little positive.

Thank you everyone for your input and advice, it really does mean a lot.
I don't drink, only smoke&smoke weed and the shrooms was a one time thing heh..
I have actually been cutting down on the smoking, for some reason I just don't crave them anymore.
As for the weed, I basically have crumbs left. And I've already emptied and put away all my bongs for the day.. (I usually smoke weed casually throughout the day when I'm not working) I smoke it everday, but I'm working on cutting down and soon stopping..or at least until I find out if I'm pregnant.
So now the waiting game begins..

Hey, my cousin was a big time cocaine and heroine user. She didn't find out she was pregnant until far into the 1st trimester. She did use drugs whilst she was unknowingly pregnant but as soon as she found out she stopped. Her kids are beautiful and really smart.


It wont effect the pregnancy greatly at the moment but you should stop now. Weed is not physically addictive so that shouldn't be a problem. Also, be prepared. When you have a kid you can't smoke weed around them or take psychedelics. Not only would it be inappropriate but every last penny you save would have to go to the baby.

The same cousin I was talking about before continued on cocaine after her kids were born. Docs then took her kids away and now she's clean she has had to fight so hard to get her kids back.

Even though weed isn't as serious as cocaine, the authorities do deal with it very seriously.

I used to smoke weed several times a day everyday and smoke and drink every few days before I found out I was pregnant.I stopped everything (screwed up once or twice during my pregnancy unfortunatly) and I have a healthy happy baby boy now who'll be a year in November.He's hitting all his milestones early and doesn't seem to have anything wrong with him.Not saying it should continue and if you think you might be pregnant it would be adviseable to stop even now before you find out but I don't think you've caused any harm to it yet.

My family has adopted two babies whose mother drank very heavily and used drugs while pregnant. Both of our babies are healthy!! Im not saying your baby wont have problems, because using drugs and alcohol while while the baby is still developing organs is very dangerous. (especially alcohol). But it is possible for your baby to be okay! Dont give up on him or her yet. You made a mistake, but its not too late to turn around and be careful for the rest of the pregnancy.
I am thankful everyday that I have my adopted baby sister. She is amazing even though her mother didnt take care of her. Imagine how amazing your baby will be if you take great care of him or her from now on!!(:
