We spent all night at an ER. I discovered I was bleeding bright red so we rushed in. An ultrasound showed a happy wiggling baby oblivious to what was going on but it also showed. A subchorionic hematoma. That is when a bloodclot forms in between the placenta and your uterus and causes the placenta to start to tear away from the uterine wall. I have been put on strict bedrest until it resolves itself but this puts me at a much higher chance of miscarriage. Just wanted to update everyone

I'm so sorry to hear about that Amber. My sister recently was rushed to the hospital for the same issue, although I'm not sure it was a hematoma that was causing the problem. But the placenta had begun to tear away from the uterine wall as well!
I hope things resolve themselves! I'll be keeping both you and baby in my thoughts and prayers tonight and get plenty of rest! |

Update-I went in for a follow up ultrasound yesterday and found out that the ER doc was wrong! ! I don't have a SCH like he thought, instead it is placenta previa. They said there is a 90 percent chance that it will move out of the way by term but until it does I am on pelvic rest and light bedrest
Also, they pointed out that my baby has a penis,Even though we were wanting to keep it a surprise .so we are having a boy. |

This is good to hear! Take it easy, Amber.
I'm going to take a visit to the yarn shop tomorrow. Do you mind if I made something for the little one as well?

Aw I'm sorry they spoiled the surprise, but congrats on the baby boy! I'm so glad to hear that the prognosis is better than you thought. I'm thinking of you and your family and hoping for the best!

I'm relieved to hear it's not as serious as first thought.
Take it easy though, Amber. ![]() Sorry to hear you found out the gender. I guess at least now you know what colour clothes to buy and such. Plus, I'm sure Kain will love having a little protégé.

Aw, I wish they didn't ruin the surprise for you. But I'm glad things are straightening themselves out and it wasn't as bad as you thought. Thinking of you and that little boy! <3

I know Kain is going to be excited about having a little brother! I'm glad to hear that things aren't quite that serious and I hope that you are doing well with bedrest. I know I would struggle with that.
