Question Difficulty visualizing cervix, but im not ready to drop!! - October 22nd 2011, 03:41 AM

I went in for an abortion today & i spent 10 minutes on this table during an ultrasound today feeling violated because ive never had a pap smear, i put my feet up with my knees still together so she pull out another part so i can lay straight (i don't like random ppl looking downn there) it felt sooo weird i was ready to go. During the whole 10 minutes or so, i thought i was introuble because the lady doing it made like 100 different weird faces like wtf. & She put more gel on it and had to call someone in there telling me i may have to leave with ALOT of gel on my tummy. I saw the ultrasound, all she showed me was 5 pictures of the head, & it was HUGE, i was like ummm other ppls ultrasound don't look like that.... I had to go because i was 6 weeks too late (im 19 weeks & 4 days) So i was referred 3 hours away but i left withh a paper that i have to go to atlanta which is one hour away because they had difficulty visualizing cervix.
Okay i googled this and meaning the head is down in the pelvis ready to drop!! Is this true????

They might have had a hard time visualizing the cervix for a number of reasons. at this point baby can flip around from head down to breech to transverse several times a day.

Yes the head looks huge on an ultrasound at 19/20 weeks.

I am sorry you are having to go through this at such a late term. ((hugs))

Yes. My mother is kinda withh her emotional and disappointment making me get an abortion... Also, the pain of the father's rude & changed attitude about everything is making this pregnancy harder for me to deal with. Now that my mother knows all she keeps saying is thats all he wanted from me, when she knows nothing of the real issue between us, but thats another agrivating story.

You need to make sure this is really what YOU want. Not what they want. You are an adult, you are a woman, YOU are the one who has to live with whatever choice you make, not them.
