Hey guys! Been so long since i've been one TH!
Okay, so my situation basically is that I am three months late for my period and have taken countless pregnancy tests, all coming back negative. I find it unlikely i'm pregnant (we used a condom)but i'm not sure.... what do you think? I made an appointment for Planned Parenthood to get a test done in a few days. Not sure if this is more of a rant or asking questions but I'm so nervous and just don't know what to do. I am 18, a full time student and have no income at the moment. I have a feeling they are also going to want me to get an exam and might possibly put me on birth control pills... How much should I expect this to be? I won't be using any form of insurance... Just so nervous.. "Life is to short, to put it off anymore You gotta live it before it’s too late" |

Re: Planned Parenthood fees -

If you are three months late and have taken multiple pregnancy tests which have come back negative, this is something you should consult your doctor about. There may be an underlying issue that you should be addressing, such as a hormonal one.
To answer your question, Planned Parenthood is really understanding about people with financial situations such as yours. They'll ask you if you have insurance or need financial help. If you do, you'll need to fill out a form and have a reference such as a friend or family member. They may provide their services to you on a sliding scale so that you can get the care that you need. As far as I know the pregnancy test is free, but the price of contraceptive pills depends on the brand and where you live. I think the average price for a month's supply is around $20. Sorry this was so vague. How much they charge for their services and the price and availability of contraceptives really depend on the area in which you live. |
