Female Advice Preferred: need some advice :(

ok so idk if im just scaring myself or what...i had my period the week of october 9th-14th. i wasnt bleeding the 16th so i thought i had finished. the 16th i lost my virginity to my then bf, and it WAS with a condom. i noticed afterwards that i was bleeding just a little bit, not enough to fill up a light flow tampon. we had sex 5 times in the next 2 weeks (october 16th-29th.) those too were with condoms. but there was maybe 2 times where we finished and he took off the condom and he wanted to keep going. i let him keep going with out a condom for no more than 5 minutes, i never let him cum in me i made him stop. the guy always took forever to finish anyways so i wasnt too worried he would finish in 5 minutes. i havent had sex with anyone since october 28th ish? the guy and i broke up october 30th and i havent talked to him since. i havent gotten my period yet and im freaking out. i havent taken a pregnancy test yet. what are the chances of me being pregnant?

I'd say the chances are slim, however, you should never agree to let the guy take the condom off, and continue having sex without it. This could lead to an unplanned pregnancy, especially if he came in the condom (where sperm can still be on the penis), or he could ejaculate pre-cum, which can contain sperm, which causes you to get pregnant.

If you haven't gotten your period yet, I would take a pregnancy test to be sure. It's been ample time to know for sure if you're pregnant or not. When you do, make sure you do these things: 1) Look at the expiration date on the pregnancy test. They do have them, and they are usually on the side of the boxes they come in. If the date is passed, I would look for another pregnancy test, check the date and go from there. You can buy them either at a pharmacy, in which they're usually near the condoms, or you could go to the dollar store and buy one. They work just the same. 2) Make sure you read the directions. I know it doesn't seem like it's hard to take one, but sometimes, some pregnancy tests are more complicated than others. 3) Take the test first thing in the morning, when you first have to use the bathroom after waking up. The hCG hormone, or pregnancy hormone, is more potent in the morning when you first wake up and use the bathroom, and will you the most accurate result.

i took a test yesterday and it said negative..i got my period this morning so im good. thank you for the advice, believe me im not making this mistake again, ive learned and im making a dr appt to get on birth control

That's great!

As your doctor is going to inform you, for the first month or so of birth control, you should also use an extra contraceptive, like a condom. The pill isn't very effective within the first month, and they will probably provide you with condoms, or another form of birth control.

This really depends on the method of birth control. Some are effective immediately and some have waiting periods. Just follow your doctor's instructions and you should be set!
