The hormones did mess with mine a little, but it was more physical symptoms than me being a lunatic haha. I recently read in Cosmo, that although there haven't been loads of studies about it, that long term, it isn't bad for you or will hurt you, but should not be used as regular birth control because it can altar your cycle and the hormones are kinda strong. It's not going to hurt you, but shouldn't be used every day since it IS emergency contraception

Just like with birth control, Plan B is going to affect you differently than someone else. I could only give general answers, since everyone is going to be different in how they react.

Plan B is not in anyway unhealthy for you to take. If it were, it would not be available to people at the age of 17 and older. It's not, however, meant to be used as a continuous form of birth control. It's been to be taken in emergency situations only, such as after a rape (God forbid) or after unprotected sex or if you think the condom broke. If you take it a lot, it's going to screw with you and of course, will become unhealthy to take. They suggest you only use it during emergency situations, and to rely on other forms of contraception all the other times: such as birth control or condoms, or both.

Now, again, the hormones react differently with people, so it's hard to say how it's going to react for you. It can altar your cycle, could even stop you from getting your period one month, but if you're on a straitght cycle without any problems, your period will go right back on track on it's own. You may experience some bleeding that isn't related to your period, but is caused because you took the pill. But, Plan B greatly reduces your chances of pregnancy if taken within the first 72 hours, but recent studies have shown that it may even be effective up to 120 hours after an emergency situation. However, the earlier you take it, the chances of pregnancy are around 5% or so, making it 95% unlikely you'll have a pregnancy.

I may wear the glass slippers; But my hero wears combat boots <3 I love you, Lieutenant

The time I took Plan B, nothing major happened except I had some light cramping. Other than that, I was normal and my moods were normal as well. As Shannon said, it reacts differently with each person who takes it.

It is safe however.

So you have gray hair and you're only 26

that's just another reason I love you...
