First my baby and now another kid to take care of

My sister Jessamin committed suicide on Monday . She left all of her belongings and money and her daughter to me in a note. I am to young obviously to take my niece so I don't know what was going on in her head when she wrote that. But I guess I get all my sisters stuff and When I am 18 I get her daughter too. Until then I am going to live at my Uncle Jake's house with Jeremy and Kendra. He has offered us to stay there and it will be a lot easier without having to pay rent and all that. Also my mother is starting to clean houses for a living and she is getting a lot of buisness real quick so I will likely be working with her soon to make some money. All that said I am really going to miss my sister and I can't believe she is gone . Life is just one thing after another isn't it? Just keep on keepin on.

What I want to say though, is that you're an incredibly strong girl, from what I see. Things are really rough for you right now, but stay strong. <3

This is incredibly sad story.

But, as Lissa has already mentioned, you're strong. You gave birth before many girls even consider having sex, and are raising your son on your own. You're doing a great job. I'm sure your sister wanted to leave her daughter with someone she trusted, and being her sister that would be you! It's going to be incredibly hard, there is no doubt about it, but I know you can do this. Kendra is going to need someone in her life now, and while your uncle can raise her now before you turn 18, you could make a huge difference in that little girls life.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your sister too. I couldn't even imagine what that's like, but stay strong. I know you can do it, and it's okay to grieve for your sister. Just remember, she wouldn't want you to be sad. Remember her life for the good times, not the bad!

Lissa and Shannon are right, you are a very strong girl and things are seriously tough right now for you but you can pull through it. I'm sorry to hear that your sister committed suicide, but remember the good times you guys shared. I agree with Shannon, I think she wanted to leave her daughter with someone she could trust and she knew would care for Kendra just as much as she did and that really is you. It'll be hard, it's not going to be easy all the time but you can do it and until then you do have support from your uncle and monetary support from getting to work. You can do it, I know you can, we all know you can.

Blue, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. That must be devasting. I know you're overwhelmed right now but you are honestly the strongest person I know. To get pregnant and have a baby at age 13, have your own place, job, money, and raise your baby... is amazing. I'm 18 and I don't think I could do that right now. We, on TeenHelp, love you and support you. Considering we are all from all around the world. It's kinda like you have the whole world backing you up. I think that's pretty awesome. You are a great mom and a wonderful person and I think that's why your sister left her daughter to you. I know that you can do this with the support and love of your uncle. I know it may seem tough but you can get through this. You've done so much already and I know you can get through this too. Thanks so much everyone It's just that everything seems so unreal. I could make a freaking movie with all the crap in my life. I'm just getting tired of it all you know? Like I want to be a normal 13 year old. Like my friends complain about stupid little things like getting grounded for staying out too late and it's like REALLY? that's ALL you have to complain about?
