It's normal for some teenage girls to want a child around 16 and 17. Personally I don't but babysitting a toddler during the terrible twos can really put you off the idea. But in other words, it is normal and you aren't alone.

It's normal Beka, I'm the same age as you and both TJ and I want to have a child. And a lot of girls who are going though something want a baby as well because it gives them a reason to live.....It's completely normal

Re: lingering urge - December 8th 2011, 10:53 AM

I get the urge all the time. I constantly have dreams about having a baby and sometimes it freaks me out so bad. But I then think of it logically and I know that I am no way near ready to take on the responsibilities of a child. My 4 year old sister is enough to show me that!
I get all maternal around babies, and everyone says how great of a mum i'd be, but i'm always like "no way, not yet!"
It's natural for a woman to have these urges

It's normal. I've been feeling that way since I was 15.

It's normal. I'm abnormal and do not have this urge, but my sister did, along with a lot of other people I know. It's totally fine, as long as you know your situation and wait until you are ready.

It's normal. Many woman have what I like to call maternal instinct, and we were made so we could have babies. It's just something that WILL happen, but since your a teen, it's not best to want to have a baby right now. I'm not going to preach about it, but I've been in your shoes.
