don't dilate

ok...since i was last on here i've had 2 children (both girls) but with both my labours i've had 1 common problem....i don't dilate normally had have had to be induced with both. with my second after 2 weeks i was only dilated 2cm which annoyed me because they kept telling me "any time now", after 2 weeks the caught on and induced me and told me i'd never have a non induced labour...i just cant get any more them 2cm with out assistants but once i hit 5cm it only takes 5 min and im pushing.

has anyone ever heard or been though this and know what it's called

Take a look at it. It should give you some indication of exactly what is going on, why you won't dilate and the fact that you've never been able to dilate normally.

I actually think that this is a common occurrence in woman, and that you aren't alone in how you feel. But, give that link a look and if you can't find any indicators of what's going on with you, then you should definitely speak to your doctor about this. They'll have all the more answers for you.

I'm sorry. The only way to know for sure is to speak to your doctor about it. They'll have all the answers for you. The internet isn't a good way to start, seeing as it could really be anything.

Shannon is right. There's not just one answer and the internet can't tell you much more than a list of what it MIGHT be. If you talk with your doctor, they should be able to tell you exactly why.

For some women, it's due to scar tissue. Other times it might be something with the way your body processes things. It may not realize it's time. There are also several reasons for that.

So, unfortunately, there isn't much we can tell you
