Yup...Its official - January 18th 2012, 05:49 AM

So went to Planned Parenthood today and they just confirmed what my at home tests told me, I am pregnant. I am leaning towards keeping the child. My boyfriend supports me and is willing to raise the kid with me...now I just need to tell my parents.

The thought of telling your parents might be scary right now, I know I was terrified to tell my mom. As soon as I told her she started jumping up and down screaming "I'm going to be a grandma!!" So don't sweat it. (: Getting blessed with children or grandchildren is an awesome thing. Just make sure that if you do decide to keep your baby that you need to take your prenatal vitamins and eat healthy! And when you talk to your parents just take a deep breath, put a smile on your face and wait for the best.

If you decide to keep the baby, it's great that you have such a great support system behind you, beginning with your boyfriend. Not all guys would be willing to step up, and it's great that he's being a man about the situation! Now, it's best for you to take your prenatal vitamins. If PP hasn't done so, you could pick some up over the counter at any pharmacy. They are important for the healthy growth of the baby.

Now, telling your parents might seem scary right now. But, it's best to just get it over with, dontcha think? The sooner you get it over with, the sooner they can get used to the idea of being a grandparent. Some are excited about the idea, like Amber's mom while other's it might take some time to get adjusted!

Whatever you decide, best of luck to you.

Good luck! Are you living at home with your parents? if so you might want to tell them as soon as possible so they can try and help you out.

That is really great that your boyfriend is willing to help you with this and that he is supporting you! My best friend had a baby at 19 and she was really worried about it at first but it is going pretty well for her now so maybe it will be the same for you Telling your parent's as soon as possible is the best thing to do and their reaction might not be the greatest at first but they are your parent's and I am sure they love you and in the end they will support you in your choice. I wish you the best of luck with all of this and keep us updated .

Congrats, I think but it was kind of difficult to tell my mom, very difficult to tell my dad. well the first time. The second time i was okay with it because i knew they were fine the first time.

It's awesome that you have a boyfriend who is willing to support your decisions and be a father to the child. Unfortunately, most guys aren't like that. You're one of the lucky ones. I can't even imagine how scary it seems to tell your parents about this. Just try to be as mature as possible and let them know that you are planning to keep the baby. Also, show them that their support would mean a lot to you. Good luck with everything!

Congratulations! If you decide to keep the baby, I'm sure that you'll have your parents and your boyfriends parents supporting you. Its fantastic that your boyfriend is supporting you. There's so many guys out there who run from the word "pregnant". I think you've got a keeper, hon xx

Re: Yup...Its official - January 19th 2012, 06:17 PM

Thanks everyone! My boyfriend and I decided we are going to keep the baby. I don't want to tell me parents alone so I am waiting for my boyfriend to fly back from college next week so we can tell our parents together. I know my parents will freak out but then be supportive about it all. Telling his parents is what I am more worried about.
