So, i'll spare you the details. But basically, i'm freaking out cuz i realized the other day that i dont remember the last time me and my boyfriend had sex. It was either right BEFORE my last period or right AFTER it....
so theres a chance i could be pregnant. i'm 16 and my next period should be the beginning of next week, but ive been feeling really weird lately (probably just giving myself psychological symptoms though, i hope) and my last period was a few days late. Could that mean something was up even then? >_< i feel so dumb right now. So i'm half venting, and half wanting help if ANYONE has ANY idea on how to calm my nerves for another week til i'm sure one way or the other? thank you everyone! <3 |

Putting stress on yourself isn't going to make the situation easier or better. Stressing can actually make your period late, and honestly, I think your psyching yourself out when there is no reason to be. The perfect time (though not for those who don't want kids) is two weeks before your period, when you're ovulating. I think you should be okay!
If you're truly nervous and worried about the possibility of being pregnant, you need to take a pregnancy test. I can't tell you if you're pregnant or not. Only a doctor and/or a home pregnancy test can tell you that (I am neither!). So, wait until you're supposed to get your period and take a test, though you really DO need to STOP stressing since that can cause your period to be late. |

Like Shannon said, stressing is likely to make the problem worse, so to ease your mind, a pregnancy test should work as it's over two weeks since you had sex.
To avoid situations like this in the future, try tracking when you have your period, and when you have sex. It might be a bit weird writing all these dates down, but if you have an iPod or similar, there are some really good apps (I use 'P tracker') which allow you to enter your period dates, predicts your next period, tells you when you're most fertile and lets you mark on when you've been 'intimate.' It also lets you track your mood and other symptoms, it's really good I paid £1.79 I think for the full version, but their free one is quite advanced too ![]() But anyway, I hope things work out!
