I've never felt certain of my sexual orientation? - August 15th 2016, 08:32 AM

Hello there,
(WARNING: mild sexual content within)
I never felt that love for romance movies like the friends around me did. When the man kisses the woman of his dreams I never felt those sparks others seemed to die over. I'm 20 and a woman who's been in two relationships. I have never found sex pleasant. I assume it's lack of experience but sex does not turn me on I feel concerned because I want a decent sex life. I look at woman and feel the desire to stare at them. I do feel attracted to women but when I think about going on a date with a woman I feel afraid. I have had two female crushes in the past but each one was not instantaneous. These crushes formed with time. I have had a crush on one male before and it was someone famous who's work and persona I admire. I sound like a lesbian but feel like I'm straight. I'm in a relationship with a man at the moment. He's a nice person but I couldn't see it lasting for a long time. I think sometimes I might be asexual but that doesn't explain the desire to look at women. I suppose I don't have a strong libido or something because when I hear real lesbian stories I don't relate much. My sexuality was never clearly defined to me and I rarely ever have crushes on people.

Any thoughts?

Thanks :-)

Everybody is different and sometimes people's sexuality is clearer than others. Why does there have to be a particular title to your sexuality? You are who you are. If you feel attracted towards a female than persue that, don't think to much about a future relationship, as you said yourself, your feelings towards someone has previously taken a while to form. Therefore what's not to say that you won't start to have feelings towards that person down the line. Do what feels comfortable for you. It is possible to be attracted to both sexes too
