Why is it that when teens date the same gender as them parents just have to freak out?

My names Winter. im 13, and i go to a private school (just saying that to exsplain things better) Ive bene going there for like, almost 7 years now.
Its a 7th day adventist school (im not adventist im just a christain)

There are a lot of kids that are adventists but there are some that arent.
Ive bene trying to figure this out for a while but im not sure so mabie you cud give out opinions of possibly why?
The thing is is that a lot of parents there can be toatal Hypocrites at times ya know? like theyre just so stubborn with religeon to them its just like thats the only right religeon you can be and thats it. a lot of them hate gay people i guess. they just hate you once they find out you are gay or bi or whatever than being straight. there are probably a couple of gay and bi sexual people at my school, but i think people are just too scared to come out about it to even one person which is sad that its like that but it is. Ive liked girls since 3rd grade (i like guys too) and ive bene that way ever since. There is this friend of mine (lets just call her Tia) Ive known her for 2 years now and we are like, really, really close. like, sister but girlfriend way at the same time? its like im close to her like a sister but also a girlfriend like, i really wouldnt mind being with her at all i wud love to be with her. She came out to me one day when she was over at my house that she has had a huge love for me since last year, she just really doesnt want anybody to know i guess so she just says shes not Bi sexual anymore (she told people last year she was which was only her other bestfriends so thats why) But she was just kinda not telling the truth which i cant really blame her for. I was really suprised and shocked at this but really happy too. She said she really wanted to go out with me But i said we probably shouldnt for the sake of our friendship since Her mom died last year from being really sick and now her aunts taking care of her and her other sibling which is a toatal christain overboarder i should say. she litterly is just way too stricked and she hates gay people so thats why i said no even though i really wanted to say yes. otherwise if we did go out then most likely Her aunt wud find out and she wud never let us even talk to eachother ever again like, she wud tell our teachers not to let us talk or even study together or anything so thats for the best probably and also the school wud flip out too.

The thing is is that i hate it that our school is like that ya know?
i mean of course there is going to probably be gay people walking in and out of our school and there already has bene for years now, i think a lot of parents try to put their kids in there since its rated one of the most sucessful schools in the nation. the public schools arent always the best here.
So thats the thing i wish people wud understand at my schools is that we dont have to like gay people if they dont believe in that but they still dont have to flip out and gossip about it either. I wish people wud relize is that its not always really a big deal if 2 of the same gender go out ya know?
And its like, i have to put possibly a really good relationship on hold becuz of everybody else. its just like, why do people flip out about that? i dont really think once you turn 18 people really care but if your under 18 than yeah they do care and they make a big deal out of it. why? cant the world just come in peace about the fact that not everbody always ends up being with the opposite gender?

I wish I understood why, but honestly I don't. People just seem really opposed to anything which is deemed to be different, and it's even harder for them to accept it when their religion tells them it's wrong. I feel your pain. Honestly, I do. I am in a same-sex relationship but am having to keep it secret for years to come since I need my parents help to pay for university and I'm afraid of what would happen if I came out. I think you're being very sensible about this and you're probably right in staying just friends 'cause it's hardly worth risking your whole friendship. Who knows, maybe when you're older people will be more accepting! I hope so anyway. Good luck and take care. <3
