How do you know if you're the opposite gender?

Title says it all.

I've been having identity issues and on the inside I feel more... Manly... Than I think I should. But I also like makeup and other things that people would consider to be feminine. I just feel like a man who likes chick things I guess? Does that make sense?

Anyway. How would I know for sure if this is what I'm feeling? Could it be something else?

I think for most transgendered people, they know from a young age, or really just know. If you're unsure about what you feel you are, then maybe you need to explore your life, and try and work out what you are. Maybe you are just a female who enjoys feminine things but is just a little masculine inside, which is fine. But if you feel that unsure with who you think you are, there are professionals you can speak to to try and work out what your head is telling you.
