Negative Experiences with GSA -

I have a group project about LGBTQ + adolescents. My part specifically is focused on the role/impact of belonging to a GSA in an adolescent's development/being/life. You get the picture
 Anyways, from everything I've gathered, GSA's seem to have purely positive influences. Makes lot's of sense. But I'm curious to see if anyone on here has had a negative experience with a GSA club at their school. If you have anything to share, I'd love to hear it. Thanks

The only bad experience I had was when I tried to join they were very disrespectful of straight people. And even more so the ones that tried to join the GSA. That's the only real negative experience with them.

Does this also surround the issue of being in a GSA and being exposed to other clubs? I know there is a lot of tension between GSA's and certain religious groups. Also, in some schools, people are rude and disrespectful just because you're in the club. I've never had a bad influence WITHIN the club.. Only as a result of being in the club.
