Question Coming out??? - January 2nd 2012, 01:06 AM

Hi, I'm pretty young, but I'm pretty sure I'm asexual, and a lot of people have asked me, and I want to talk to someone, not my parents though... Wondering what you think...

Well, the main thing is to only come out when you are comfortable when doing so. I know that it can be pretty hard when people are asking you, but if you are not ready to tell them, don't. You have to be completely confident before you do. And when you do come out, it might be a good idea to only tell the ones that you trust at first, such as some of your close friends. I've been talking to my guidance counselor off an on about it, and she has been a really great help with my sexuality as well. But what really matters is being comfortable with coming out before you do so and only to those who you feel comfortable with knowing.

I'll be the one to keep you
I'll keep you at your best

Hey, welcome to TH.
I happen to be asexual too. Age doesn't matter; I was 15 when I figured it out.
I've found that AVEN is a great place if you want to talk to someone. And you can always PM me
