Had it all planned...[need gift ideas] - April 25th 2012, 12:26 AM

I planned a while back to buy my girlfriend a bracelet and a Nintendo 3DS for our one year anniversary, but it turns out that the 3DS is not as good as I hoped it would be and believe that my girlfriend will be disappointed. So I'm backing out on getting her the 3DS. The bracelet seems like a good idea, but I don't want to get her more jewelry at the moment. So now that I have 4 days left before the anniversary, my original ideas are scrapped out of the equation, and now I'm left with no ideas. Should I get her the 3DS anyway since it's something that she wanted and let her sort out any of the problems she encounters on her own? Do you have any suggestions on what I should get her? I don't have the time to buy things online.

3DS is awesome! But I'm biased towards it. Actually, it depends on if she's into that kind of stuff. I've heard around that the 3D effect looks weird. I love it, but again, get her something that fits her interests. But also says that she matters to you.

Something that'll show you put thought into it...
From what I know, girls don't care about the size or the price of the present, just that it shows your love for her (I'm just gonna call it now that a bunch of girls are gonna tell me how wrong I am :P)
I would say jewelry cause that's really the perfect present... But you said no to that.
Maybe just give her a card and take her I the movies or something? Idk.

PM me if you need anything Except ice cream. I never share my ice cream

I gotta say he's right. Just of think of something really personal so when she looks at she'll know just how much you love her. Like uhm........oh I dunno..how long have you guys been together?

Get her the nintendo 3DS that was your original plan you said the nintendo didn't turn out good? If the nintendo 3DS can survive my 6 year old cousin who is a care free little boy I think it can handle anything.

3DS isn't a bad idea, if it's something she wanted.

Because in the end, it doesn't even matter.

If she really wants a 3DS that is what you should get. However if you are still feeling unsure about it get her something personal (like create a scrapbook of memories you guys share). Or create a memory of your anniversary by doing something romantic. If you still stuck flowers, perfume, chocolate are always an option.

^Chocolates for an anniversary? Lame. They're perfect at Easter or as an extra, but unless they're designer chocolates (and really, why bother?) they aren't a good stand alone.

I don't know what to tell you Brandon, really - I'm not the kind of person who'd want a material gift in that price range for an anniversary. I much prefer experiences (tickets to the west end or cooking me a special dinner, whatever). But if you're looking for *things* to give, I'd stick with the 3DS if that's what she wants.
