So there's this girl I like, and on Friday I found out she likes me too. But I don't want to get into anything right now because I just got out of my first relationship so I don't know if I'm just lonely. And I don't want to end up changing my mind and hurting her. So I suggested we go out sometime and see how it goes.
We're meeting on Wednesday for a while, we don't know where yet. But I'm panicking a bit. I've never done this before and I have no idea what to do. God, I don't even know what "this" is. I think we're probably just going to get a coffee or something and wander about somewhere with lots of space, but what do I do? Do I act like she's just any other friend or not? I'm really not good with this stuff.

Exactly! just act like a friend! be yourself, because that is the person she likes. Talk about school, travel, your aspirations, her aspirations. you got this! no big deal! and you can figure out afterward if you are ready for this to go somewhere or not. good luck and have fun!

Hey you,
You both like each other, so that's a start, right? It's honestly down to you to judge if you're lonely or if you truly like her. Perhaps not jumping straight into a relationship would be a wise idea if you're not sure. Seeing how it goes is the best way forward. What to do? Be yourself. If she likes you then she'll accept you for everything you are. "This" is whatever you make it to be. You're probably both feeling pretty awkward, and not admitting it to each other. Communication is the key, so maybe send her this? Act however you're comfortable. There's no pressure on you. It's okay to be nervous, just make sure you talk to each other and have a good time. Thank you both, you were both right. We talked and she knows I'm freaking out a bit so we're just going to wander about a bit and see how things go. It'll be fine once I get there, it's just building up to it and worrying about making a fool of myself that gets me nervous.
