Question What do I do, please help:/ - July 27th 2012, 11:46 AM

Well, I'm new to the website, hey, but that's not why I'm here, I'm here for advice, I'll tell you a story, I'm 14 years old lad, edging 15, and me and my girlfriend, have had a very open, long, and happy relationship, however my relationship before her, was very good, and me and my ex have remained friends, I'd even go as far as saying bestfriends, and I can't help but still have feelings for her, and I know she feels the same, we both know we shouldn't, but because we've been so close and shared sexual activities its kept us very close, I love my girlfriend, you may say I'm only 14 but its true I love her! but I can't help missing my ex, when I'm not with either, and miss what we had, what should I do?:/

Hey there! Welcome to Teenhelp! and this is quite the pickle you've got yourself into. I suggest giving yourself distance between the ex and you. It'll help with the feelings of missing her. It'll eventually fade and you can focuse on your girlfriend more. Also make a pros and cons list of what each girl consists of, balance it out and also think about why your ex and you broke up in the first place. I hope i Helped some! Take care!

This may not sound appealing, but taking a break from your friendship with your ex will definitely help. You can't be just friends with an ex after you break up because its easy to retain feelings for them. And that isn't really fair for your new girlfriend. If you and your ex stop talking for a little while, it may help to get rid of lingering feelings for each other. Its going to take some time too, so just put extra focus into your girlfriend and remind yourself why you love her and your feelings for your ex should go away in time.

And here you are living, despite it all.
