Long Distance Relationship for the next 4 months, what to send snail mail? - August 7th 2012, 05:10 PM

Well, I need some advice. Badly.

A girl and I lived together for about a month and started dating. However, prior to any of this had happened, she was planning to move back home (which is 1300 miles away) to be near her family. We've decided to continue things and I will be moving in December.

We are sending things via snail mail, and I was wondering if anyone had ideas of what I could send. I've sent pictures, cards, and various nic nacs, but I'm kind of lost on things to do. I don't just want to keep sending empty letters, though I know they still mean something.

Anyways, advice of what to send? Or advice for LDR in general?

Hey Michael, I read your post and I'm sorry to hear that the girl is moving away, but it's great that you kept in touch with her . Anyways, since you email her, I think you guys should just write one or two emails each day with a lot of description, describing what you guys both did during the day. During holidays like christmas, birthdays, etc. if you know her address, you can also mail her a present with a handwritten letter attached or sometimes, you can just buy her presents and send them via mail. Well that's all I have to say.. Goodluck to you and I hope my advice helps!

im currently in a long distant relationship and i love recieving things in the post, it means alot more to me than an email. he sent me a tshirt he wears once and i loved it because it smelt of his aftershave and although i missed him when i was feeling upset or really missing him i can put it on and it reminds me of him also he sprays a little bit of his aftershave on the letters he writes which is a really nice touch and the smell always lasts for weeks
