Good morning/Good night texts - December 3rd 2013, 03:09 PM

Someone on another forum I'm on posted a thread earlier saying she's not a fan of them and finds them awkward. Most people seem to agree with her.

My boyfriend sends them to me and I send them to him a lot, I like them I think they're cute.

What do you think about them? Do you send/receive them?

I agree with you, I also think they're cute. :P

I send and receive them and I don't find them awkward in the slightest, kinda the opposite, actually.

I think that it's really sweet, but I wouldn't get upset if my significant other wasn't the type to send them, either.

I think it's really nice. I'd like to say goodnight to the person I'm with and waking up to morning texts is always nice. I don't see how it's awkward or anything.

Re: Good morning/Good night texts - December 4th 2013, 01:04 AM

I find it cute. My fianceé sends me a good morning text to read when I get up during the week because she's up at the crack of dawn for work. I do the same at weekends when she gets a lie in and I'm at work. We have a goodnight text routine where it's always some variation of "Okay, if you need anything just text me, alright? Have sweet dreams, and sleep well. Talk soon, I love you lots! <3xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo :* :* [insert other kissy face/heart pictures]"

It's just kind of a habit, I love it. No matter what's happening, if we're arguing or haven't really talked much, or just having a crappy day, we still always get those texts.

Re: Good morning/Good night texts - December 4th 2013, 02:00 AM

I love good morning and good night texts! Makes me feel like he’s thinking about me although i’m usually the only one sending them -_- its weird because i text him through out the day and he doesn’t answer but if I don’t text him he’s like ‘Hello? Why haven’t you texted me?’ so at least I know he enjoys seeing me texting him lol

I only like them if the guy initiates it. Idk it gives it the feel like the guy is actually being the man in the relationship. But I find them cute too X3

I don't see it as awkward. I text my boyfriend before we go to bed, unless one of us falls asleep first. And I'll always text him in the day (he doesn't do mornings).

I usually don't send them unless the guy I'm with sends one first. Just so I know I'm in the clear. My boyfriend and I don't send good night texts to each other but only because we live together. We do send good morning texts since usually he's at work way before I even wake up and I love it.

I think they're super sweet. Me and my boyfriend send them to each other all the time. Every night and morning.

Cute at first; monotonous, routine, dull, underwhelming and obligatory after a short period of time. I like to send them occasionally, but doing it everyday becomes a heartless chore.

Because in the end, it doesn't even matter.

My boyfriend and I do this every night and morning to each other. What's so awkward about saying that to the one you love? Nothing- in my eyes.

I think it's a cute reminder that you're thinking of your partner; first thing on your mind when you wake up, last thing you think as you go to sleep. Then again I've never been in a position to experience it myself, so maybe my opinion will change when I am.
