Should I go for it? - July 17th 2019, 05:04 PM

At the gym we go to, this boy is always asking me how I am doing and if he hasn't seen me in a few days, will ask me what's going on. My mom and sister's said that he likes me. But I'm always working out with my mom or sister's. They said to just go for it and ask him out for pizza or coffee. I'm shy and don't know what to do. When someone has time can you please help me out. Thank you.

I think you should go for it! The worst he can do is say no. Even if you two don’t work out romantically maybe you’ll have a new friend! Since this boy already asks how you’re doing maybe you can start out with having a conversation with him and go from there? Or ask for his number?

Go for it! It's nice that your mom and sister are so encouraging, and it's always good to meet new people. He obviously has somewhat of an interest in you and at the very least you could have a new friend. I know it can be scary to ask someone out, but I think the best thing to do is to be straightforward. You could thank him for always asking after you, or tell him you want to talk more with him. Whatever works for you!

Good luck and PM me if you need anything else.

Thank you so much for you're replies and what you are saying. I'll try talking to him more and see what happens.

Hey Emma, I'm probably a bit late here, but I definitely agree with others! There's really nothing to lose and getting to know people is, in my opinion, the best way to experience new situations.
Good luck and let us know how things went.
