So I'm going out with this guy. We have been together for about a month and like 6 or 5 days. This is actually our second time going out. So the thing is that since the first time we went out he had the crazy idea of getting a tattoo. Which of course is my name. (Leslie.) I told him no, not to do that. I told him he was crazy. An well I didn't believe he would do it. So we broke up, but then we got back together on Feb. cause of course i still had feelings for him.. and he told me again that he was gonna get the tattoo, and i again i told him not to do it!! Like 100 billion times. But he didnt listen and so not to long ago he send me a picture through the phone and well it was the picture of my name, as in the tattoo. He did get. And well now i dont think i feel the same way for him as i used to,, and ive been wanting to break up with him but i cant. An what stops me from doing it is the tattoo. I feel like im attached to him now, cause he got the tattoo... and i dont wanna break up with him cause he just got the tattoo like not to long ago.. and well yeah.. I still like him but just a tiny bit... but i dont know what do. Help, please.

Well, I think if you need to leave, you should leave. That tat, you told him not to get it. He got it, it's his problem--and I think if you stay in a relationship just because of that, it's going to go downhill from now, because it's not.. like you're not staying with him because you like him, which means you might start to resent him.

Tattoos can be removed, at least somewhat, too.

Break up with him anyway. If you don't like him anymore, staying with him because he got a tattoo is just ridiculous. In fact, it's possible that he got the tattoo for exactly this reason. He might have thought that you might leave him and that getting the tattoo would stop you. But seriously, there is no point in staying with this guy just because of that.

and he's how old? I don't know about where you live but up here in Canada you need to have legal consent from your parents until you're 18 to get a tattoo... its his own stupid decision, you owe him nothing so don't feel like you need to stick around because of his own stupidity.

Just be honest with him. I mean really, you told him not to get it and he did. This may sound rough, but it's his own fault, not yours. Don't leave the burden on you, you've done nothing wrong. But if you don't have the same feelings don't stick with him or his feelings will only get hurt worse if yours don't intensify. My suggestion: Break up with him asap to avoid making things worse and just be honest.

If you want to break up with him, I think that's what you should do. You told him not to get the tattoo and he did anyway, so it's not your problem that he got it! It's not like you made him get it. Don't worry about it. I don't think that a tattoo should be the only reason why you're in a relationship. If you really don't have feelings for him and you don't want to be with him anymore, do what you want to do and set aside the fact that he has the tattoo. He can deal with that himself.
