New relationship... - April 6th 2010, 07:54 PM

So the guy I like finally asked me out Yay.

We started dating on Friday, and today was the first day we were with each other as boyfriend-girlfriend. And it was a little awkward... I know it's always like this at the start of relationships, but this was more then it usually is.

I really like the guy, and I wanna like hold his hand and give him hugs and stuff (I have not intention of kissing at this point), but I'm just... nervous :P

And this is the first time he's ever had a girlfriend, while I've had a couple boyfriends... so I can't wait for him to like, offer to hold hands with me first or whatever, if you know what I mean.

I understand what you mean completely I was the same at his age. Since you have more dating experience you might have to loosen him up a little go to the movies and hold his hand. Don't be shy about it bluntly grab his hand. He'll really like that then let him grab your hand another time.

Its kind of like training a dog, honestly. You just have to be confident and go for it. The relationship your in sounds healthy and normal but trust me. Lose the awkwardness right away because that is just holding you back.

How old is your boyfriend, same age?

Yep, we're the same age (give or take a couple months).

Congratulations on your new relationship! I would say to ask him if you could hold his hand, he would be flattered I'm sure!
