What do you think of shy girls? - July 4th 2010, 11:47 PM

Do you like them or you rather go for a girl with more self- confidence?
im asking because i am really shy( well at least i used to be) and i never really ask a boy that question.

I don't really care to much if a girl is shy or not. If I found out a girl I like is shy then I am not going to like her less or more. Though I have never dated a girl who is shy though so if I did find a girl I liked who was shy I bet I would be more driven to go after her.

I'm extremely shy myself, so obviously I'd have no problem with it. But I wouldn't have a problem with confident people either. I think what really matters is whether they're a nice person at heart and how compatible you both are personality/interest-wise

I have no problem with shy girls, hell, sometimes guys can find it endearing. As long as they do express their feelings though, since there's a difference between 'shy' and 'uncommunicative'.

So, basically, don't worry about it. Confidence is always better in my opinion, but don't worry and be yourself, and make sure you do express yourself as much as you can and everything should be fine =)

There is a side to shyness that's quite cute, but the main problem I have with shy girls is simply not noticing them. There's a girl I went to school with for 3 years that I never even shared a glance with! There's nothing wrong with being shy, but it does mean you may have to put a bit of effort into making yourself noticed.

Re: What do you think of shy girls? - July 6th 2010, 08:29 PM

i know i'm not a guy but i asked my boyfriend this ages ago and he answered...

"i'd much rather date a shy girl then one of those loud, bitchy in your face girls." I think aslong as i'm not bitchy or loud then my boyfriend doesn't mind if i'm shy or confident etc. I get really shy infront of his family and he doesn't mind at all but then i am really confident in front of him BUT i don't get overly confident and loud, and he likes this.

Lol I actually really really like shy girls...

You have to take more time in getting to know them and you feel as though you have and know someone that many people don't bother to because they are quiet.

They tend to be nicer and more accepting, less judgemental and stuff. Or so I have seen.

Shy girls also mesh well with my extrovert personality

This is my honest answer

Personally I like the more outgoing type. It's so hard to communicate with a quiet person and usually I get the wrong signals and feels like she hates me.

This is probably how girls feel too.

Would you rather date a shy guy, or a very outgoing funny guy?

I was once a really shy guy back when I was young -- and it's no surprise that all my relationships ended within 3 weeks. I like to outgoing and confident type.

Alrex i would date both i think an outgoing person would be good because since im a little bit shy it would be good to have somebody else do the talking, but i wont mind dating a shy guy too.

Re: What do you think of shy girls? - July 8th 2010, 04:58 AM

I find them harder to approach because they are harder to read for the ovious reason. That way I don't know what angle to play, funny and silly or laidback and cool. I have also mistaken shyness for disinterest before so that didn't really help either.

Being permanently shy also prevents feedback so even though the girl could say she likes me, her lack of opening up in conversation would again seem like a lack of trust or disinterest.

I thought I'd throw out the question - if anyone has successfully dated a shy girl, what advice would you give?

I dated this shy girl once... She turned out to be a ling manipulative lil B!tch.

Na, but besides her, they can be some of the best GF's.
I would go the funny cute route. Build up her trust in you, let her know you care about her, and then ask her out.

I like very forward and gutsy girls who aren't afraid to sppeak their mind, well that's how I am, so I like girls much like myself.

every guy is different but for me i like the shy kind of girls the best. I dont like it when a girl is too loud or overly self-confident (cocky). Most shy girls i noticed tend to play hard-to-get but when you do get them there the best in the world

It gets annoying, especially in a relationship when you're trying to be open and she's off being shy, to the point when she lies to keep you happy. Don't get me wrong, shy doesn't always mean quiet, so saying cocky or girls with confidence are better is stupid.
