Random person started talking to me... - August 21st 2011, 12:44 PM

What do you do when a random person starts talking to you?

I was on facebook and this guy added me. I accepted because he had like 40 friends in common.
I then get a message saying 'Hey beautiful x'

I honestly find it weird. He's never talked to me before...

Do I reply? or delete? :')

i'd cheak out his profile, or send him a mesage bak saying "do i know you" or "have we met"

"Life isn't about how popular you are... What girl or boy you are dating or who you know. Life is about always being true to who you are or what you believe in. This is the reason why we sing... this is the reason why we cry... this is why we live."

Play along. Nothing like a friendly flirt with someone you've never met before and probably never will, though he does seem quite forthcoming. I'd just say hi.

But if a random stranger talks to me, then I'll most likely respectfully reply, but then try to cut the conversation short if I just don't like them. The alternative is pretty obvious.

when people I don't really know do that to me on facebook, I just delete or ignore them. If someone's going to hit on me based on a profile picture, or even just the fact that I'm a girl and we have friends in common, then they're probably a bit douchey! I mean, why can't they meet a girl in real life?! But if you have 40 mutual friends, then maybe he's just being friendly, so it wouldn't hurt to reply and suss the situation before you decide what to do :P

The last time I replied to someone I didn't know, I got asked if I was a virgin within an hour of knowing the person. Weird.

But I replied and asked if I knew them

Now we await the reply... I hope he's not creepy

That's how I met my (ex) boyfriend He added me and we started talking. But I'd suggest checking out his profile, maybe asking a mutual friend if he's okay.

Just see what happens. He might recognize you from a party, but you never were properly introduced. Or, he just might want to get to know you.

Re: Random person started talking to me... - August 22nd 2011, 02:03 PM

I deleted him.
It was more of a Q&A session than a conversation.
He asked how old I was, where I lived if I was single. I mean c'mon, he couldn't have been obvious about what he was after. -_-
The he was like have you got a number.
As if I'm going to give a complete stranger my number.

Anyway, my point. I deleted and blocked him.

You can close the thread thanks for all the advice guys <3
