Eh, well. This dude just asked me if we could try dating again, and of course, I said yeah, and now...
Please hold patiently for the most stupid question ever... *drumroll* Would it be considered socially correct to post on Facebook that I'm in a relationship like twenty minutes after he asked me???  I'm like the newest person ever at this dating thing, if you can't tell.

I would wait. For now, you two are technically "dating" but you aren't "official" yet. After you go on a date or two, I would see if he wants to make it official or just ask if you two are boyfriend/girlfriend or not. Just enjoy being with him for now and worry about lables later

I agree with Nicole. U dont want to put "in a relationship" then have to change it back to "single" if it doesnt work out. Just wait awhile until u know that yous are going to be together for awhile. it just makes things easier

If you have him as a friend on facebook, wait and see what he does. If he changes it then it would be ok for you to, but if he doesn't I agree with the others. Wait and see, after you've been on a date (or two) see how they go and maybe ask him if you're 'official'.

I believe there is also an option for "seeing someone" sort of like an in-between thing that fits for situations pretty much like yours.

Or if you already show as 'single', you could just remove it. That won't let everybody know you're now in a relationship, nor tell your boy that you still don't want people to know. It's a little in between...
