Ok, so I've come to the sad conclusion that I like the guy in my class. The only problem is that I don't WANT to like him! I already have to find a way to break up with my current boyfriend, I'm going through alot right now, he is mean( jokingly). I don't WANT to get butterflies when I see him or get an ack in my stomach when I see him hanging out with 5 or6 other girls. I have tried to tell myself I don't like him, tried to stop liking him and have tried completely removing him from my life all together! Nothing has worked! Please don't hate me for asking this but, how can I gettself to stop liking him?!

Unfortunately, we don't really choose who we like and who we don't like. That kind of thing just happens and more often than not, we can't do much about it. In this situation, I would try to forget about him. I know you said that you've tried to do this and have been unsuccessful, but there isn't much you can do. Try focusing on other things. Spend time with friends and focus on school. You can try focus on any hobbies and interests you have as well. At the end of the day, there isn't much you can do to forget a crush - especially if you see him every day. It's something that should go away with time. Be patient.

The above posters are right - unfortunately you don't really get to make the conscious decision of who you like, although there IS ways to lessen that like (some will be hard to do).

Delete all photos, texts, emails, etc. Delete phone number(s), block him on facebook, twitter, etc. Kill all contact with him - and move on. I know, sounds easier said then done and truth be told, it is hard. But if you really don't want to like him - then this is the only major way to get over him.

Exactly this.

There's no hard and fast solution to your problem. Just rock on with whatever it is you do, and do your best to block out this new guy. It might be frustrating, but you just have to suck that up and keep on going.

Sounds complicated. maybe try to talk to theboyfriend so he understands you two will be friends at best, but there is another person you love.
