Have you ever been in love?

I'm just curious as to what everone else thinks/has experienced. I mean, I've been in what I think is love, but is there something even more after that? I doubt it, as I don't think it's possible to 'love' somebody more than I did, but who knows. I'm an open like that! Anyway, vote away people.

EDIT: Whilst I'm not 100% sure about that, I am sure that I'm yet to meet 'the one'. I just know it somehow.

I'm in love at the moment... but it is a different kind of love to my first love.
My first love was a very intense and abusive relationship, so now being with someone who I genuinely love and genuinely loves me scares the hell out of me, because I know how quickly something that starts out all 'lovely' can end up so horrifically.

Like a lot of people have said, I think its possible to be in love more than once with various degrees of intensity? Love is what it means to you, there's no sort of linear scale where only certain things qualify?
Personally I believe I have been in love twice, my first love was my first boyfriend and, looking back, I feel like I was in love because it was the first time I had been in a relationship which was honest and wonderful and made me very happy. Also he was my first, in almost every sense of the word which (to me) will always mean a lot.
Since then I have had 'crushes' but I hadn't been in love until I met my current girlfriend who is the most wonderful person in my life and who I believe I will spend the rest of my life with.
It's an entirely different kind of love to my first boyfriend but I wouldn't say that either of them were more 'real' or more 'powerful', they were both important in their own ways.

Yes I have. And I know that because when he split up with me, I could literally feel my heart breaking and I couldn't breathe. I mean, I knew beforehand, but I'd never experienced such painful feelings in my entire life.
The love I have for my current boyfriend is different, but a lot stronger. We completely understand each other.

I thought I was when I was fourteen, and again when I was sixteen, but once you've experienced what it really is, you know the times you thought you were were ridiculous. I fell in love first properly at eighteen, in my first long-term, serious relationship. I fell in love again at nineteen with my current boyfriend, and this time is more intense than the last.

I personally think that if you're not sure if you're in love, then you're not. When you are, you know. Unmistakeably.

Not sure at the moment ... as much as I wish I was, I don't think "love" is the right word ...

I was in love with my ex. We had only known each other less than a week when we first kissed and then when he finally asked me out a month later I already wanted to tell him I loved him (I held back though!) When we parted for summer I bawled my eyes out. I had two miserable summers without him.

I fancied a guy since though, and whenever I was around him I got a fluttery tummy ... and whenever our mutual friend suggested to me that this guy was interested, my heart thumped. Though now that has passed ... I guess that was a crush.

What me and my current boyfriend have is really good, but different to what me and my ex had ... I guess we'll have to see what happens further down the line.

I think I was in love with a guy this one time. But it wasn't particularly healthy because I was really dependent on him. It was either one extreme or the other: that amazing feeling, or the feeling that it was all going wrong and it was the end of the world. I don't love him anymore. Once a few years ago there was this guy that was the center of my whole world! Everything I said or did had to do with him. Love is a huge step in a relationship. It's not to be taken lightly, and when you really are in love with someone, you will know. It is something that happens seemingly unexpectedly, but when it does, you can look back and see it happen.

Last night, I was talking to my girlfriend of three months and I felt something change. I felt it. It was the most powerful thing I've ever felt and immediately I knew that this was it, there was no changing it. I love her and that won't change, even when she goes away to college at the end of this summer, it won't change. I love her.
