Valentines Day Blues -

I've had a year long relationship with a guy I now realize I never loved, but valentines day is coming up and so are the dances, and yeah. I feel incredibly unloved. My best friends are getting love notes and dates, and me...zip. Anyone else feels this way, and any good remedy?

I know what you mean, I feel the same way. The worst part is that we have a rose sale every year, and literally everyone else got roses (even from friends) except for me.
 Am I that unlovable?I haven't found any remedy except to turn the other cheek, and try to forget about it. There's not really much that I can/want to do, so what's the point of being down about it? Sorry  If you ever want to talk, PM or VM me.

I think all single people go through this near or on Valentines Day. I don't even like the holiday, and I've been in a relationship for 3 years. I don't need ONE day to remind me that I love my boyfriend. It's just another made up holiday for people to go all our for, when it isn't necessary. Grab a friend and go to the dances together. Take a whole group of friends. You don't need a guy for valentines day.

yup. I feel the same every single valentines day. This year , my plans are to play sick and stay in bed all day. I shall ignore it and close myself off from the world. Even facebook.

Valentine's Day isn't something to worry about. In all honesty, it's a greeting card holiday. Why should people need a special day to show their significant other how much they love them? So, hang out with friends or stay home and watch chick flicks. It really doesn't matter. In the end, it's just another day.
