Valentines Day Idea, good or bad? -
January 28th 2012, 07:18 PM
Hi all,
my girlfriend and i are both 22. I was thinking of doing the following for valentines day, because she says she has never had a special valentines day with her previous 2 boyfriends. So here what i've done/plan on doing: I've got a glass jar, in the shape of a heart, which i have filled with decorative stones. Each stone represents a memory we've shared together. I've made Origami lucky stars and placed them throughout the jar for colour. I've also made origami hearts with messages inside. This is the jar (click here) I'm going to invite her to my flat and set the mood with a valentines playlist i made on my ipod such as 'Flyleaf - all around me acoustic version' and set 4 scented candles for the light. Cook her dinner and afterwards, watch a movie as we cuddle in the candlelight. Cheesy? Maybe? But will it make her feel special? She likes cheesyness. At the end of the night, i will give her a vase of 8 roses. 7 real, red roses, 1 white artificial rose. ''It'll have a message saying i'll love you til the last rose dies''. White roses symbolise purity and unity, hence the colour choice.

Very original! Which makes it even more special since it's something YOU thought of. It isn't anything store bought (except the roses!). I'm sure she's going to love it!

To be honest I like the first part but the roses and the fake one is kinda cheesy
![]() But if your girlfriend is into cheesy things go for it. Good luck on V-day. Everyone is born right-handed. Only the greatest overcome it. |

That's a brilliant idea. I wish my boyfriend would do something even remotely as nice as that for me...
She's a very lucky girl.
