Love my best frienemy

Okay, my best guy friend and I have been friends for over two years. This is great.... but we're both crushing on each other. We've tried to date, but then we fight like an old married couple, over stupid stuff. After we broke up, I lost him as a friend. He's back now, after a few weeks. But it's so hard to deal with him when we're just friends. There's too much love for our own good! What do I do?

If you said you two fought a lot when you attempted to date, then I definitely wouldn't try that again. Most of the time with relationships if you try once and it doesn't work, there's not a high success rate of it working again. If there's too strong of feelings to be just friends with him, then I'd suggest not being friends at all. In the long run, you're going to cause yourself more pain than need be. I know it's hard to imagine life without him, but you have to think of what the best option is for you.

I agree with holly, you do not want to cause yourself more pain in the long run.

You need to think about what you want in the long run, do you want a great best friend? or do you want to date him and risk losing him as a friend again?
