Is there a song for this? - February 8th 2012, 06:14 PM

For almost a year now I've been trying to get my ex to see me; we broke up very unexpectedly after a fairly short relationship because he had so much going on personally he hadn't dealt with. We've made contact about once a month since then, but he makes a point of cutting it short before we can get really honest or see each other in person. I finally got honest with him in a letter, and at first he sent me a very casual, dismissive reply. Then about a week later he sent me a song that was actually more relevant than anything else he'd ever said on his own. This is basically the only way I can communicate with him now, and I am having trouble finding a song that is going to get my point across.
The song is telling me he still feels love for me but is trying to learn some things on his own and will come back for me when he's done. The song itself was sweet-- but I know that as of lately he has been hanging out with a girl who clearly likes him and who I know he's probably just chumming around with. I'm not threatened, but I'm torn because I have some guys interested in me at this point, and it isn't quite as casual. I don't want them like I want him, and I'm afraid I'm either going to be waiting alone forever or I'll commit to someone else and then have THAT to deal with when the one I really love comes back.
I don't know how to tell him how close he is to missing out, and it's been difficult to communicate that through songs hahaha. I need some suggestions.

Write your own song. Not only will you be communicating with his "preferred" method, but you'll be able to say exactly what it is you want to say.

I haven't posted atleast 10 times so I can't post the link lol But "Listen To You're Heart" By DHT (the non-techno version) is my vote.

I think that one would be good. I'm not trying to be pessimistic but in my own experience, if someone can't handle their problems with you in the picture, they'll always leave when the going gets tough. You need someone who will be willing to work with you through the hard times and celebrate the good ones with you too. I don't know what the right answer is for you in your life right now, I just hope that you don't settle for fear of being alone. Hope the song is what your'e looking for.
