Fate? <3

I personally have always believed in fate, that when someone comes into your life its because they were ment to. That being said I'm soo confused. Joshua and I were friends long ago, when struggles meant losing a game on the playground and "dating" meant sitting by each other at lunch. We lost touch over time and hadn't talked for years. Then out of the blue i get a message on facebook, turned out that he was tranfering to my school. Several things have happened since ( related to my post on the depression/suicide feed) and we have grown closer. It all leaves me wondering if friends is all we'll ever be. Is it fate that I came into his life when he needed a friend the most or that he came into mine when I was about ready to give up hope that anyone could ever care for me?

I also believe in fate. And it may be that you are the friend that is going to be there for Joshua whenever he needs somebody. I think it is pretty cool now that you think about it. When giving him your friendship it also makes up for the years you guys have missed out on together as friends. You guys both needed somebody so i believe fate brought you two together.

Honestly, I can't tell you if it was fate anymore than you can. Your guess is as good as mine.
But, I can tell you this. My advice is to talk to him more and reconnect and then see how he feels towards you. If you have feelings for him but he doesn't feel the same, then it just won't work out. But you should go for it and try and get closer if you like him

I think that fate is very slippery of a concept so I definite answer of yes or no won't mean much. Just talk to him more, the more people change the more they stay the same. I'm sure certain things about him have changes so reconnection will definitely be beneficial for you. See where it goes and keep all of us updated on how it works

I think we all like to believe in fate deep down but a lot of people would call this just a pure coincidence, either way you're back in each other's lives & that's a good thing. I would definitely take the time to talk to him more, get to know each other all over again because I'm sure you've both changed in some ways & then just see where it goes from there. Don't try and put a label on the connection that you two have & don't try to force anything either. If you're meant to be more than friends, it will happen & if not, just enjoy having an amazing friend. Good luck (:
