so heres my situation
ive been sort of? dating this guy since the beginning of winter break and were not exactly going out, but we are very commited to each other. ive never done this before, ive never had a valentines day with a guy i care about a lot, and i need some ideas. the situation is that, i have his license, he doesnt. same with the car thing. i was thinking about taking him to Top of The World at Laguna Beach (basically a VERY good view of the houses and hills and beach from one really really high point in Laguna). I am sort of the guy in this situation because of the driving, and hes probably borrowing money from a friend to get me something (long story). I want to make/get him something that shows him the idea of "forever and always" because we always say it to each other. There are a few other things that I want to relate the present to, but it would take a long time. Anyways, GUYS, or girls if you have some idea, please let me know. ASAP. Valentines day is in 6 days, and I'm going to see him on saturday as well as tuesday. Okay shutting up now :P "That Others May Live"

I would make his present. It would mean a whole lot more. Maybe make a scrapbook and put all of your memories in it. Or you could draw/paint something if you are artistic. Or write a poem and include Love is Forever in it.
Honestly its really the thought that counts. Which, I know, is cliche. But, it really is true. Don't stress too much about getting the "perfect" gift. I'm sure he will be happy just spending some time with you

Homemade gifts are always the best in my opinion. Writing a poem, making a cute card, getting loves songs & putting it on a cd for him, possibly making him his favorite food, etc etc. Store bought gifts are great and all, and they can be really special, but making something shows exactly how much you do care about him & that you are committed (:

I would go with his "favorites" like his favorite candy and a card and you can write exactly what you feel in it, except leave the forever and alway part out untill you see him. Say it outloud when you give him his gift or after he reads what you wrote =) either way the thought is really what counts
