I would honestly set aside some time to talk about this issue specifically. Tell her you want to find a way of managing your phone time because, although you enjoy talking to her, you still feel as though you need your personal time and space. There's nothing wrong with needing a little bit of me-time and she needs to be open to accepting this. Come to a compromise with her. Decide where your boundaries are and suggest them to her. Have her suggest her own ideas and perhaps find a way to combine the two that will work for the both of you. Just be honest, straight-forward if at all possible. Making up excuses will only serve to hurt her further when she finds out, and she will (they always do). So be open about it.
