A quick look at the cost over here is anywhere between £90-£190 (roughly $180-$380) and in all honety, while it is a nice memento...if you're strapped for cash, it is money I think that'd be well saved so you can buy something for the baby. I know it does suck that you won't see your baby before his birth- but trust me, you'll probably want all the cash you can get your hands on when he is born.
