I know it is female preferred but here is a guys perspective. How does he know her? Is this a random girl? If so I would say that is not acceptable. Has he known her for long periods of time (or good friends) Just different variables. I personally dont think it is a good idea for women to use those terms in any situation with a guy that has a GF but some girls as friends do use that frequently.
