Me and my boyfriend usually acknowledge that it's an anniversary and yes, we'll go out and do something for it. Usually it's just a meal in a pub restaurant. We're students and don't have much money so it's like we use "anniversaries" as an excuse to go out and eat proper food
It's not something we tell the world about, it's just usually "We'll be 10 months next week ... pub meal? :P" and I think it is nice to do a little something special. Plus it reminds the fella of the date when the IMPORTANT anniversarys come round
