How long were you and your significant other dating before you moved in together?

We were a month off our two year anniversary.

What made you decide to live together?

His mother. Earlier in the year, she'd threatened to kick him out of home if he didn't pay rent (despite agreeing previously that he wouldn't have to pay rent while at university). My boyfriend lost his job a month or so before we moved in together and was worried his mum was going to kick him out anyway. So my family took him in.

Where are you living (ie with someone's parents, in an apartment, in a house etc.)

We live with my family. We're both at university, so we don't really have the money to get our own place yet.

How did you divide living expenses?

Roughly. We don't pay rent etc., we just help out with chores at home. We do have cats that we have to buy food, litter etc. for, but we've never really talked about how we divide our money. It's never been an issue.

How old were you when you moved in together?

He was 19, I was about a week away from being 19.

How long did you talk about moving in together before it actually happened?

I'd mentioned it to him before, but he wasn't so keen on the idea. Maybe a few months?
