OH MY GOD! I was going to respond to you, Kyeto-X, but I'm sitting here open jawed that I typoed and typed "even something as seemingly good as slavery" instead of "even something as seemingly evil as slavery" OMG!! I feel so terrible..*goes to fix...*

oh wait, that's not the typo. I left out the word abolishing. so it should read "even something as seemingly good as abolishing slavery"
