I don't really use razors but I've got experience in accidental cuts with metal , to stop the bleeding you must aply pressure so the flood stops, the reason you don't notive until later is because metal is mostly silent so you won't feel it until the cuts open.
If it gets really nasty maybe you should see another way to sahve your legs it'd solve the problems, or maybe if it's cause the razor is new tru to cut other things in other to "un-sharpen" it?
