Tattoo - July 29th 2015, 12:13 AM

Hey hey so I'm getting a tattoo of a barbed wire around my ankle and was wondering if anyone knew about the pain. I'm not really a wimp at all when it comes to pain, but I just wanted to gauge how bad it's going to be.

Hey,

I moved this to tattoos and piercings because that's where it fits most.

I don't have a tattoo so I'm not much help, but I know that the pain level varies by person and by location on the body.

Other people have tattoos on the site so I bet you will get an answer soon!

Re: Tattoo - July 29th 2015, 03:13 AM

I have four tattoos-- one on each wrist, a shoulder one, and a neck tattoo. My sister has a tattoo around her ankle, and she has said many times that it doesn't hurt as much, only when it hit certain places, which makes sense. If I had to rate on pain levels, my wrists and shoulder tattoos would be a 5/10 while my neck tattoo is a 9/10. I was close to getting up and walking out because it hurt so much.

Re: Tattoo - July 29th 2015, 04:01 PM

I have tattoos all over but none on my ankle. My ribs wasn't that bad and neither was the back of my neck. Everyone is different. I have a pretry high pain threshold but I know others who have had tattoos and would never have another. I'm sure you will be fine. Every time I go for a tattoo I really psch myself up and majority of the time I've walked out and been surprised how much I worried about something which wasn't that painful.

I have one on my ankle and it wasn't very painful at all. Hope it goes well!

It hurts, but this is not the biggest problem. Think twice before make a tattoo I had one and now I really regret for it.

Re: Tattoo - August 10th 2015, 01:46 PM

Well I don't personally have one on my ankle. But I know getting on arm hurt, so I'm guessing ankle is worse pain as it's a joint

Eating a good meal and going to your tattoo session well hydrated helps a lot with the pain.

I'd love to see pictures!
