It seems like you were pretty stressed towards the end of the relationship and although you may be viewing your break-up negatively, I think this is ultimately better for you in the long run. Supporting someone struggling is a very special thing to do but it can also be emotionally draining on ourselves and we have to take care of ourselves before we can help others. It's easy to neglect ourselves while supporting others. Additionally, there's only so much we can do to help someone before a professional should step in; but even then it is up to them to help themselves because they are the ones in control. Now you'll have some time to focus on the well-being of yourself and I hope you're able to stay safe through everything. We're always here if you need advice or support.
