Re: How do I know if I have an eating disorder? - January 9th 2016, 06:33 PM

Hi there,

Firstly I just wanted to make you aware that on Teenhelp, you're not allowed to post weight numbers or methods of dieting. That doesn't mean we're not here to support you thought, okay? We want to help you

I can't tell you whether or not you have an eating disorder because I'm not a medical professional, however, it sounds like you have a bit of an unhealthy relationship with food and your weight and self image. And for that reason I would advise you to seek help from a professional such as your GP, counsellor, dietitian or an eating disorder specialist. They may be able to offer advice on a healthy balanced diet, ensure you're at a healthy weight and offer groups such as a self image group for you to go too. Do you think you'd be able to reach out for help? I know it can be scary but I also know it can be helpful and beneficial.

Hope this helps a little.

Hopes and wishes,
Jessie
