5 years old and hes the best thing ever,
6 years old he's battered and bruised,
She hold his hand his hand in hers,
Whispering her worsest fears,
For it to only fall onto silent ears,
His eyes they saw,
His soft body absorbed the tears,
She held him in her clutches
As she cried herself to sleep
While he her teddy absorbed the tears she quietly did but weep,
10 years later shes now sixteen,
Questioning a childhood she should not have seen,
He sits ear falling off, threadbear eyes,
Wishing how things could have been,
She meets a boy , poor ole teddy hes forgotten about,
This guy isn't all that he seems to be,
Beating her and hurting her,
She's back to living in fear,
To her teddy she turns,
Hugging him close,
She asks 'oh teddy how can this be'
Cant you see ?
Oh teddy I'm like the 6 year old me again,
She holds him in her clutches tight,
Whispers goodnight
Her tears he absorbed,
Soggy, old and forogtten about,
Week later shes in a coffin all cold and blue,
Visitors to her funeral far and few,
In her clutches lay teddy going to the grave with her,
Now they both lay all old and cold
Six feet under both forgotten about,
In the clutches of the earth.
