I'm happy to hear the surgery went well! I'm so sorry you never got any supportive response yesterday before you went under anesthesia. Surgery brings about anxiety and fear for a lot of people, so you aren't alone! There are always the pre-op appointments with your surgeon, or someone who will be present or are knowledgeable about the procedure taking place; I would seriously recommend composing a list of questions and concerns you have so you're better prepared. These people will be happy to address any question or concern you might have — there is nothing 'wrong' or 'stupid' when your life is being put in other people's hands for a short period.
